In the new draft bylaws/financial code, that's exactly the same (though obviously, it talks about the Senate and Appropriations, not the SC and SSFC). Are you just looking at the Finance Committee section by mistake, and not the Appropriations section? The Student Judiciary will likely approve these dates this Thursday, January 29. While I can't speak for any of the four Madison Common Council District 8 campaigns, anyone with ANY experience working local political campaigns will tell you having students bothered about multiple votes they truly know little about -- spare me the "we're going to educate them" schtick -- will suppress the desire to turn out voters.
